Pediatric Cardiac ICU – Travel RN | Denver, CO

Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Contract

This Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CICU) is a specialized unit dedicated to the congenital cardiac population, operating alongside a pediatric intensive care unit with strong interdisciplinary support. The physician team consists of board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists committed to collaborative, compassionate critical care. The nursing team is highly experienced, averaging 10 years in cardiac and pediatric critical care, with a strong culture of safety and evidence-based practice.

Clinical Scope:

• Post-operative cardiac care including post-sternotomy and open-chest management
• Inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions
• IV fluid and chest tube management
• Moderate sedation
• Support for ECMO and advanced hemodynamic therapies
• Care of medical neonates and complex congenital heart patients

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Critical Care experience (required)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (required)
• Peritoneal dialysis and CRRT skills (preferred)
• ECMO bedside experience (preferred)

Schedule & Logistics:

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend commitment: 4 shifts per 4-week schedule
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: August 17, 2026
• Location: Denver, CO
