This 13-week travel assignment places you on a busy Med-Surg unit in Salem, VA, where the clinical focus is post-operative care. The unit runs a fast pace with a collaborative team structure and a strong culture of patient advocacy.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Scope
The unit cares for post-operative patients across a range of surgical specialties. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Post-operative patient assessment and management
- Drain maintenance and monitoring
- Wound care and dressing changes
- IV therapy management
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
Preferred Experience
- Post-operative patient care background
- Proficiency with dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
