Emergency Department Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Emergency Department nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced ED environment managing a diverse patient population across all acuity levels.
Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
- Hours: 36 hours per week, guaranteed
- Pattern: Every other weekend and holiday
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 ED experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
- Must pass a Telemetry Competency Test on Day 1 (84% or higher required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing assignments
- Critical care experience
What You'll Do
You'll provide direct patient care in a high-volume ED setting, performing assessments, managing acute and emergent conditions, monitoring cardiac rhythms, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality emergency care.
