Nursing Supervisor – Evening, Night & Weekend Shifts
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee patient care coordination across multiple nursing units during evening, night, and weekend shifts. You'll serve as the on-site hospital leader, managing operational and administrative activities while ensuring high-quality, cost-efficient care and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical direction and supervision to nursing staff across multiple units
- Evaluate nursing care quality and make staffing decisions that support both patient outcomes and employee relations
- Coordinate operational activities and serve as the hospital's representative during your shifts
- Collaborate with Clinical Managers and interdisciplinary teams to achieve divisional goals
- Demonstrate clinical expertise in overseeing care for patients across all age ranges
- Promote effective communication and cooperation among all departments
- Model professional nursing practice and support staff development
Requirements
- MA Licensed RN (required)
- 5+ years of nursing supervisor or house supervisor experience, including Charge Nurse responsibilities in an acute care setting
- Strong leadership and clinical knowledge across all patient populations
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- BSN preferred; diploma or ASN acceptable
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour shifts: AM/PM rotation with 36 hours guaranteed per week
- Every-other weekend and every-other holiday schedule
- 13-week contract
