Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

Position Overview

The facility's Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to perform hemodynamic monitoring, imaging operations, and procedural support under the direction of the cardiologist and Chief Radiologic Technologist.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 x 10-hour days, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• No set day off
• Evening and weekend call for emergency procedures
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with Impella, telemetry monitoring, and IABP
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Pass telemetry competency exam on day 1 with 85% or better
• MA RT(R) License
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• RCIS certification preferred
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac catheterizations and hemodynamic monitoring procedures
• Record and maintain accurate hemodynamic data
• Assist with radiologic operations and quality control imaging
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service requests
• Prepare patients for invasive cardiology procedures
• Maintain daily calibration and maintenance of imaging equipment
• Complete patient billing documentation
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient and hospital information
• Adhere to hospital policies and demonstrate professional, respectful communication with all staff and patients
