Respiratory Therapist – 12-Hour Night Shifts
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract in a high-acuity critical care environment. You'll provide respiratory support to trauma, NICU, and adult ICU patients in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Schedule & Duration
- 12-hour night shifts: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend and holiday
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Clinical Scope
- Manage ventilators for trauma patients (Level 1/2 acuity), neonatal critical care, and adult ICU populations
- Apply lung-protective ventilation strategies
- Make independent ventilator adjustments based on patient assessment and lab values
- Participate in Code Blue response teams
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years recent experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facility, NICU Level 3, and adult critical care
- RRT certification
- MA Respiratory Care license
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- Preferred: NPS and/or ACCS
