Registered Nurse – ICU

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in the multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit. You'll deliver comprehensive nursing care to high-acuity patients in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every-other weekend
• Every-other holiday
• Nights rotation included

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate ICU patients
• Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Communicate with healthcare team members, patients, and families
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Maintain accurate patient records and enter/interpret computerized data
• Follow nursing department guidelines and policies
• Support quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of RN ICU experience
• Current MA RN License
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Telemetry experience and competency
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
• Telemetry competency exam required on Day 1
