Inpatient Rehabilitation RN — Night Shift | Greensboro, NC
Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Start: October 19, 2026
This inpatient rehabilitation unit provides specialized care for adults and geriatric patients recovering from neurological and complex medical events, including CVA, TBI, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, and generalized debility. Patients are post-stroke, post-aneurysm, and post-surgical, requiring goal-directed rehabilitative nursing care within a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule & Float
- Every 3rd weekend required; holidays as needed
- Float between multiple system campuses may be required
Clinical Responsibilities
- Medication reconciliation, lab interpretation, vital sign monitoring
- Dressing changes; setup of aseptic/sterile procedure trays
- Specimen collection: capillary, phlebotomy, UA clean catch, throat cultures
- Telephone and pharmacy/refill coordination
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG competency
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience — no first-time travelers
- Acute care rehab experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Vaccines: COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Additional Details
- Orientation: approximately 24 hours; non-billable compliance modules average 2–4 hours
- Requested time off must be submitted with initial application; no post-submission RTO accepted
