Travel RN – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an RN for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This is a 91-week contract with a 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shift, offering 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Clinical Setting
You'll provide direct care to critically ill cardiovascular patients, including those post-cardiac surgery, with acute coronary syndromes, and requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring. The CVICU manages high-acuity patients requiring close assessment, medication titration, and rapid intervention.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to CVICU patients
- Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatment
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document patient assessments and care interventions accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and recovery
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid RN license
- CVICU experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to function in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple critically ill patients
