Registered Nurse

Operating Room – Circulator RN | La Jolla, CA | 13-Week Contract

This OR position focuses on high-acuity surgical cases across multiple service lines in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong circulator skills and is comfortable managing complex cases from setup through close.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3x12-hour shifts (06:45–19:15)
• Call: 2 x 5-hour call shifts per week
• Weekend call: 2 x 12-hour shifts per 8-week period
• Start date: September 21 or October 5, 2026

Clinical Scope

• Circulator role covering Spine, Total Joints, Plastics, ENT, and robotic (Da Vinci) procedures
• High-volume surgical environment requiring independent clinical judgment and strong case management skills

Requirements

• Active California RN license (Temp or Perm) in hand at time of submission
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of concurrent OR/circulator experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Electronic health record experience within the last 6 months of work history
• Supervisory-level reference required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Additional Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Non-local candidates only; must reside beyond 100 miles of the facility (candidates on assignment in the San Diego area for 9+ months are considered local and ineligible)
• Maximum 7 days of pre-approved RTO; no new RTO requests after submission
• Float may be required at or below skill set; occasional float to alternate campus possible
• Online compliance modules (8 hours, non-billable) must be completed by the Friday following assigned due date
