Medical ICU Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced ICU nurse for its Medical ICU. You'll provide direct patient care in a high-acuity environment managing critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
- Pattern: 4 days on / 3 days off (12-hour shifts)
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Call: None required
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- ACLS and PALS certifications
- MMR, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Varicella, influenza vaccine, and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit testing and background check required during onboarding
What You'll Need to Know
- Uniform: Ceil blue scrubs
- You'll complete facility-specific competency assessments, EKG training, and skills validation during your first week
- Drug screening and criminal background check are part of standard onboarding
- Professional references and driver's license required at application
Clinical Environment
You'll work in a Medical ICU with patients requiring high-level monitoring, mechanical ventilation support, and post-acute care management. Critical thinking, strong assessment skills, and experience with complex IV therapies are essential.
