Emergency Department RN – McKinney, TX
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an RN for the night shift (18:00–06:00). This is a 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Unit
You'll work in a dynamic, fast-paced emergency environment caring for acutely ill and injured patients. The unit manages a diverse patient population including trauma cases. You'll collaborate with a well-staffed team including charge RNs, nurses, paramedics, and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care across the main ED and observation bed areas
- Manage patient assignments with strong communication and clinical judgment
- Float to other ED areas as needed to support patient flow
- Work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle; no call requirements
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Strong patient experience and interpersonal skills
- High-energy, self-motivated approach to care
