Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the pulmonary care team on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You'll provide comprehensive respiratory care to critical, non-critical, and chronically ill patients across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations, working under physician direction with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans
  • Manage emergency response (Code Blue and White)
  • Execute airway management procedures, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning
  • Set up and operate ventilators; manage BiPAP and CPAP devices
  • Deliver aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy
  • Collect and analyze blood gases; perform EKG analysis
  • Assist with chest imaging interpretation
  • Maintain and stock equipment and supplies
  • Potentially serve as Shift Leader or Team Leader

Advanced Practice Skills (as applicable)

Therapeutic gas management (INO, HeO2), pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assistance, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, nocturnal SpO2 evaluation, polysomnography, and transport duties.

Requirements

  • RT or RCP License (Texas) and RRT certification (NBRC) required
  • 1–3 years of experience preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (AHA)

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
  • Start Date: October 5, 2026
  • Schedule: Full-time
