Orthopedic/Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Morgantown, WV
This 13-week travel assignment places you on an acute care Orthopedic/Telemetry unit focused on joint replacements, fractures, and post-surgical orthopedic patients. Strong ortho experience is required — specifically with total joint replacements, not fractures alone.
Schedule & Hours
- 12-hour day shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Holiday coverage expected; every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule cycle
Clinical Details
- Patient population: orthopedic surgical patients including total joint replacements and fracture management
- Telemetry monitoring present on the unit; RNs are not required to read strips
- IV drip titration not required
- Respiratory therapy and equipment support available as needed
- Charge nurse coverage 24/7; CNA support on every shift
Requirements
- Active RN license (willing to wait for licensure)
- BLS certification required
- Strong orthopedic experience with total joint replacement — required
- BSN not required
Additional Details
- Scrub color: Royal Blue
- Unit orientation: 1–2 shifts
- Floating possible to adjacent med-surg/tele units
- Cancellation policy: up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
- COVID vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
