Night Shift Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract on the Medical-Surgical Telemetry float pool. You'll work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), with weekends and holidays as part of your regular schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Float to medical-surgical telemetry units and overflow areas as needed
- Provide direct patient care to telemetry-monitored patients
- Respond to dysrhythmias and clinical changes in real time
- Contribute to a collaborative nursing team environment
Requirements
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to pass a telemetry competency exam (85% passing score, one attempt only)
- Documented professional development activities
- Charge nurse experience preferred
Onboarding
You will be required to pass ECG/telemetry and medication knowledge assessments within 48 hours of your offer. These are administered via video conference with one attempt to achieve 85%. Study materials will be provided. Biweekly orientation follows.
Contract Terms
- 72 guaranteed hours biweekly
- All time-off requests and interview availability must be provided at submission
- Candidates previously employed by the facility must have a 6-month separation before eligibility
