Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Telemetry
Position Overview
Join the facility's Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool as a Registered Nurse. You'll work 12-hour rotating shifts across multiple med-surg telemetry floors, providing care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring and telemetry surveillance.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour rotating shifts (3 x 12s per week)
- Weekends and holidays expected
- 72 guaranteed hours biweekly
- 13-week contract
- Start date: October 5, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Float to all med-surg telemetry floors and overflow areas as assigned
- Monitor and interpret telemetry strips; recognize and respond to dysrhythmias
- Administer medications safely; demonstrate current medication knowledge
- Deliver high-acuity patient care in a dynamic, rotating environment
- Participate in charge nurse duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years of med-surg telemetry experience
- Current AHABLS Certification
- ACLS (AHA) Certification required
- Pass Telemetry Competency Exam and Medication Test (administered via video prior to assignment; 85% passing score; one attempt only)
- Documented professional development activities
Preferred
- Charge Nurse experience
- Knowledge of critical care pathways
