Med/Surg Telemetry RN – Geriatric Behavioral Unit | Plymouth, MA
13-Week Contract | 12-Hour Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
This telemetry unit specializes in geriatric patients presenting with behavioral disturbances alongside active medical issues. The patient population includes individuals with dementia, confusion, and impulsive behaviors requiring close monitoring and skilled, compassionate nursing care. The unit operates as a Med/Surg Telemetry environment with continuous cardiac monitoring.
Shift Details
- 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekends and holidays required
- 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
- Start date: October 5, 2026
Clinical Requirements
- Active RN license in Massachusetts
- ACLS and BLS required
- Candidates must complete a Dysrhythmia (ECG/Tele) and Medication competency test via Zoom prior to assignment start — one attempt only, 85% passing score required
- Testing must be completed within 48 hours of offer; a study guide will be provided
- No float required
Additional Details
- Interview with the nurse manager is required; please submit available dates and times
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
- Candidates must have a minimum six-month separation from this facility before being considered
- Orientation is offered on a biweekly schedule
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
