Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Telemetry | Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a 13-week night shift assignment in medical surgical telemetry. This is a float pool position with guaranteed hours and a dynamic team environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekends and holidays expected
- 72 hours guaranteed biweekly (excludes on-call time)
- Biweekly orientation
Clinical Role
You'll work across medical surgical telemetry floors, providing care to patients on continuous cardiac monitoring. Float flexibility to similar units and overflow areas is required. Dysrhythmia recognition, medication administration, and telemetry expertise are essential daily competencies.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years med surg telemetry experience
- Current AHABLS and ACLS certifications
- Documented professional development activities
- Ability to pass telemetry competency exam
Onboarding Requirements
You must pass two proctored exams during onboarding (one attempt only; 85% passing score):
- ECG/Telemetry assessment
- Medications exam
Both exams are administered via remote proctoring and must be completed within 48 hours of offer. Study materials will be provided; preparation is strongly recommended.
Additional Notes
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- All time-off requests must be submitted at time of application
- Candidates must have been separated from this facility for at least 6 months to be considered
