Progressive Care / Step-Down Nurse — Cardiac PCU/IMCU | Atlanta, GA

Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Guaranteed | 14-Week Contract

Start Date: October 5, 2026

This cardiac-focused PCU/IMCU unit manages intermediate-to-high acuity patients requiring close monitoring and skilled nursing intervention. The unit also includes telemetry beds for lower-acuity cardiac patients, so flexibility across acuity levels is expected.

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• STEMI, NSTEMI, and chest pain presentations
• Cardiac surgery step-down (CTS) patients
• Titration of cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week, 36 guaranteed hours

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of documented PCU or IMCU experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Active RN license applicable to Georgia

What to Expect

Candidates should be comfortable managing a 3–4 patient assignment in a cardiac-focused environment and may float to telemetry beds within the same unit as census and acuity dictate.
