Registered Nurse

Emergency Department RN — Utica, NY | 16-Week Contract

The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a day shift contract beginning October 2025. This is a high-acuity ED serving a broad patient population — from newborns and pediatrics through adults and geriatrics.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week
• Guaranteed 36 hours weekly
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Floating required

Clinical Scope

The ED manages a wide range of critical presentations including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The unit encompasses acute care, a clinical decision unit, super track, trauma bays, and a psychiatric section.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York RN license required
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS — current
• NIHSS — current
• TNCC — required and must be in hand at time of submission

• RTO must be submitted at time of submission

This role is open to both local and travel candidates. Local candidates (within 75 miles) are eligible at the local rate.
