Emergency Department RN
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to join a dynamic, fast-paced team. You'll care for diverse patient populations—from newborns to geriatrics—managing high-acuity presentations including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (12-hour)
- Contract Duration: 110 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 weekly
- Floating Required: Yes
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years ED experience with pediatric exposure
- Travel experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
- Active NY nursing license
- Charge capability highly preferred
Clinical Scope
You'll work with pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido), sedatives (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), and critical drips (TNK, Heparin, Insulin). Specialty equipment includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
