Nursing Director/Manager – Inpatient Care
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Nursing Director or Manager to lead inpatient nursing operations, overseeing medical/surgical and ICU units. You'll hold 24-hour responsibility for patient care activities, nursing quality, and service operations across these departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing leadership and operational oversight of medical/surgical and ICU units
- Ensure nursing care quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
- Apply sound human resource and financial management principles to guide nursing services
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to implement policies, procedures, standards, and regulations
- Support comprehensive patient and family-centered care delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (required); Master's degree preferred
- Current RN licensure in Maine or Compact licensure in good standing
- Specialty and leadership certification preferred
- Nursing Director or Manager experience
Position Details
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- 13-week contract
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- Start date: October 12, 2026
