Emergency Room RN — 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with rotating weekends and no on-call requirements.

About the Unit

This is a high-volume emergency department managing a diverse patient population across multiple care settings: general emergency patients, cardiac and trauma cases, behavioral health emergencies, and fast-track patients. You'll work alongside a collaborative team including charge nurses, paramedics, LVNs, and patient care technicians.

What You'll Do

• Manage patients across varying acuity levels with patient ratios of 1:4 (general ED), 1:3 (cardiac/trauma), and 1:5 (behavioral health)
• Perform procedures including splinting, EKGs, central line placement, airway support, rapid infusions, and resuscitation
• Provide behavioral health de-escalation and support trauma assists
• Work with standard ED equipment and monitoring systems

Requirements

• Current RN license
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Trauma experience preferred
• Inpatient holding experience a plus
• CPI certification preferred
