Registered Nurse

Emergency Room RN | Contract | Austin, TX | 13 Weeks

This fast-paced Emergency Department in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced contract RN for a 13-week assignment starting in early October 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Rotating weekends
• No on-call required
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Clinical Scope

The ED manages a broad acuity mix across general emergency, fast track, cardiac/trauma, and behavioral health patient populations. Nurses perform and assist with splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central line management, airway support, rapid infusion, resuscitation, Morgan lens application, and behavioral health de-escalation.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• ENPC
• TNCC
• NIHSS

Preferred Experience

• Prior trauma experience
• Inpatient holding experience
• Behavioral health de-escalation (CPI)

Strong multitasker who thrives in a high-volume, team-oriented environment and can work independently when needed. Candidates who are self-starters and comfortable managing patients across varying acuity levels will excel in this role.
