Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced ICU nurse to join its cardiothoracic surgery program. You'll provide specialized care to post-operative cardiac surgery patients in a fast-paced, acuity-driven environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights)
- Every other weekend rotation
- 72 guaranteed hours biweekly
- Weekly orientation
- Two holidays required if working through the winter season
Clinical Scope
You'll care for post-cardiac-surgery patients and work with advanced hemodynamic support devices, including IABP and IMPELLA. Float duties between ICU and IMCU are expected as part of the role.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of ICU nursing experience in a similar setting
- Proven CT surgery experience
- Proficiency with advanced cardiac support devices
- BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications (current)
- Must have been separated from your previous employer for 6+ months
- Any color scrubs permitted
