NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Level III
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
The facility is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to provide direct care to critically ill and medically complex neonates in a Level III NICU setting. You'll manage high-acuity infants requiring advanced respiratory and hemodynamic support, including those undergoing therapeutic hypothermia/cooling.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates
- Manage patients requiring therapeutic cooling, advanced ventilation (conventional ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV), and high-flow oxygen
- Monitor and maintain central lines, PICC lines, umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), and other invasive devices
- Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
- Recognize and respond quickly to neonatal deterioration and emergency situations
- Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Perform comprehensive assessments and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists)
- Provide education and support to families
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Ideal Candidate:
- 3–4+ years of strong Level III NICU experience
- Hands-on therapeutic cooling experience required
- Comfortable functioning independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Required Certifications & Licenses:
- Active RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
