NICU Registered Nurse (RN) Level III
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU. This role is ideal for nurses confident managing super high-acuity patients with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates
- Manage infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia and advanced respiratory support (ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, high-flow oxygen)
- Monitor and manage central lines, PICC lines, umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), and other invasive devices
- Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
- Conduct comprehensive neonatal assessments and respond quickly to patient deterioration
- Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team
- Provide education and emotional support to families
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS and NRP certifications
- 3–4+ years of hands-on Level III NICU experience
- Demonstrated therapeutic cooling experience
- Ability to function independently with high-acuity patients
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
