Night Shift RN – Med/Tele Complex Care
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its medical-telemetry complex care unit. You'll provide direct patient care on the night shift (7 PM–7 AM) in a 12-hour format, working with acute medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 12-hour shifts, 7 PM–7 AM
- Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (your choice)
- Weekend commitment: 1 shift per week, or 2 shifts every other weekend
- Contract length: 16 weeks with guaranteed hours
- Holidays: Must work at least 1 holiday during the contract period
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
- Non-U.S. candidates: 2 years of U.S. work experience required
- Preferred: 2 years recent experience in med-surg/tele
Key Responsibilities
- Float to other units as needed based on facility census
- Willingness to assume charge nurse duties when required
- Flexibility to accommodate scheduling needs and block bookings when requested
Additional Details
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Charting system training provided
- Charge nurse training available if needed
