Emergency Department – Registered Nurse
Position Overview
Join the Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse on a 16-week contract. You'll work a rotating night shift (3P–3A / 7P–7A) in a high-acuity setting serving a diverse patient population, including specialized geriatric emergency care.
Unit Details
The Emergency Department is a busy, modern environment with 80 treatment spaces. The team is experienced, collaborative, and supportive, with strong clinical leadership and a commitment to quality patient care. You'll manage acute and emergent cases across all age groups, with particular expertise in geriatric emergency medicine.
Schedule
- Hours: 36 hours per week (three 12-hour night shifts)
- Rotation: 3P–3A or 7P–7A (rotating pattern)
- Weekend Requirement: One weekend shift per contracted week, or two weekend shifts every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Minimum one holiday per contract
- Blocked Scheduling: Available upon request (Thurs/Fri/Sat, Fri/Sat/Sun, or Sat/Sun/Mon options)
- On-Call: Highly recommended (not required). Average 2 hours per week; blocks available in 4, 8, 12, or 16-hour increments
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent nursing experience
- 2 years of U.S. work history required for international candidates
- NIH and AHA BLS certifications
- Residency more than 50 miles from the facility
