Med Surg Float Pool – RN (Rochester, NY)

Position Overview

Join the Med Surg Float Pool as a Registered Nurse. You'll float across multiple medical-surgical telemetry units, providing acute care to a diverse patient population. This role offers variety, clinical growth, and the opportunity to work across different settings within the facility.

Shift & Schedule

  • 12-hour night/day rotation: 7 PM–7 AM and 7 AM–7 PM
  • 36 hours per week
  • 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
  • Must work at least 1 holiday during the contract
  • Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
  • Schedule flexibility required based on facility needs

Contract Details

  • Duration: 16 weeks
  • Guaranteed hours: 112 contract weeks
  • Start date: October 27, 2026

Requirements

  • Active New York RN license
  • AHA BLS certification
  • 2 years recent acute medical-surgical/telemetry experience in a hospital setting
  • 2 years U.S. work experience required for international candidates
  • Willingness to float to other units as needed
  • Residency requirement: Must live more than 50 miles from the facility

What You'll Do

Deliver direct patient care on medical-surgical telemetry units, monitoring cardiac rhythms, managing post-operative patients, and coordinating care across multiple acuity levels. You'll adapt to different unit environments and patient populations while maintaining high standards of care.
