Med/Surg Telemetry RN – Night Shift

The Opportunity

Join the medical/surgical telemetry unit for a 16-week contract managing acute-care patients with telemetry monitoring needs. You'll work nights (7 PM–7 AM) with flexibility in scheduling and the option of 36 or 48-hour work weeks.

Unit Overview

This med/surg telemetry unit provides care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and acute medical or surgical management. You'll assess, plan, and deliver nursing care for a diverse patient population while working alongside a collaborative clinical team.

Schedule & Expectations

• Shift: 12-hour nights (7 PM–7 AM)
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (your choice)
• Weekend commitment: 1 shift per week or 2 shifts every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: At least 1 holiday during the contract
• Flexibility required: You must be willing to float to other units as needed and accept charge nurse duties (training provided)
• Residency: You must live more than 50 miles from the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN license
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year recent acute med/surg or telemetry experience
• 2 years of U.S. work experience (required for international candidates)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years recent med/surg or telemetry experience

Contract Details

• Duration: 16 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 112 hours across contract weeks
• Start date: October 27, 2026
