Med Surg Float Pool Nurse – Rochester, NY
Position Overview
Join the medical-surgical float pool as a registered nurse. You'll rotate between med-surg and telemetry units, providing acute care to a diverse patient population across multiple clinical areas.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM with occasional 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM rotation
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend commitment: 1 shift per week or 2 shifts every other weekend
- Holiday requirement: Minimum 1 holiday worked during contract
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
Requirements
- License & Certification: Active New York RN license and AHA BLS
- Experience: 2 years of recent acute med-surg or telemetry nursing in a hospital setting. Non-U.S. candidates must have 2 years of U.S. work experience.
- Flexibility: Must be willing to float to other units as facility needs require and accommodate schedule changes
- Residency: Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

- Duration: 16 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 112 contract weeks
