Oncology Med/Tele RN — Night Shift
The Opportunity
The facility's Oncology Med/Tele Unit is seeking an RN for a 16-week contract to join the night nursing team. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced unit managing complex oncology patients with conditions including osteomyelitis, chemotherapy administration, bowel obstruction, sepsis, and post-surgical recovery.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
- Days: Sunday–Tuesday block
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours (guaranteed 112 hours over the contract)
- Requirements: Must work at least one holiday during the contract term
What We're Looking For
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in acute med/surg or telemetry, with oncology exposure
- Non-U.S. candidates must have 2 years of U.S. work experience
- Chemo certification preferred but not required
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
- Ability to work charge nurse duties (optional)
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
The Role
You'll work independently and collaboratively on a skilled unit, managing patient assessments, medication administration, and monitoring in a dynamic night environment. Flexibility and responsiveness to unit needs are essential.
