Night Shift Medical/Surgical RN – Colorectal & Bariatrics
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a registered nurse for its medical/surgical unit specializing in colorectal and bariatric patients. This is a 16-week night shift contract in Rochester, NY.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
- Hours: 36 per week
- Weekend commitment: 1 shift per week or 2 shifts every other weekend
- Holiday requirement: Must work at least 1 holiday during the contract
- Flexibility: Schedule is based on facility needs; block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
Clinical Role
You'll provide nursing care to medical and surgical patients, including those undergoing colorectal and bariatric procedures. Charge nurse duties are required as part of this role.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year recent acute med/surg or telemetry experience
- 2 years of U.S. work experience required for international candidates
- Preferred: 2+ years acute med/surg or telemetry experience

- Contract length: 16 weeks (112 guaranteed hours)
- Residency requirement: Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
