Night Shift Medical/Surgical RN – Medical/Surgical & Colorectal/Bariatrics Unit
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical RN for night shifts on a dedicated medical/surgical and colorectal/bariatrics unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, managing post-operative and acute medical patients.
Schedule & Expectations
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
- Hours: 36 per week
- Weekend commitment: 1 shift per week or 2 shifts every other weekend
- Holiday requirement: Must work at least 1 holiday during contract
- Block scheduling: Available upon request (not guaranteed)
- Flexibility: Must be adaptable to facility scheduling needs
Charge Role
Charge responsibility is requested but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years acute hospital experience
- At least 1 recent year in medical/surgical or telemetry nursing
- Non-U.S. candidates must have 2 years U.S. work history
Contract Details
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 112 contract weeks
- Residency requirement: Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Clinical Environment
You'll work with medical and post-surgical patients, including colorectal and bariatric populations. Experience with acute-care nursing, post-operative management, and patient education is essential for success in this role.
