Emergency Department RN — Boston, MA | Travel Contract

Contract Details

  • Duration: 14 weeks
  • Start Date: October 5, 2026
  • Shift: 12-hour rotations on a day/evening schedule (7 AM–7 PM, 11 AM–11 PM, or 3 PM–3 AM)
  • Hours: 48 hours/week preferred; 36-hour contracts considered
  • Weekends: 2 per scheduling period

About the Unit

This is a high-volume Emergency Department managing a fast-paced, diverse patient population. The unit operates across multiple care areas and routinely sees a high daily patient census. Travelers are expected to float to the Psychiatric ED and Pediatric ED (patients 15 and older; prior pedi experience preferred but not required for the 15+ population).

Note: Travelers are not assigned to trauma rooms during this contract.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, OR
  • 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
  • Must independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, including identifying heart blocks
  • Must pass a Telemetry Competency Test (85% or higher) on Day 1

Required Certifications (must be active/unexpired)

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • TNCC
  • PALS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel assignment experience
  • Critical care background

Additional Notes

  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be compensated at a local rate
