Emergency Department Nurse – 12-Hour Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Emergency Department nurse for a 14-week contract beginning October 5, 2026. You'll work nights (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.) on a 4x12 schedule with two weekends per four-week period and every-other holiday off.

Clinical Environment

This is a high-volume Emergency Department managing 350–440 patient visits daily across multiple treatment areas. You'll care for patients across the full acuity spectrum, from minor injuries to critical presentations. Float flexibility is required to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (patients 15 years and older, or if you have prior pedi experience, younger ages may apply).

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, OR 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications
  • Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
  • Must score 85% or higher on a telemetry competency assessment on Day 1
  • Patient ratio: 1:4–5 depending on acuity

Preferred Experience

  • Previous travel nursing assignments
  • Critical care background
  • Familiarity with common ED workflows

Travelers are not assigned to trauma resuscitation rooms during this contract.
