Registered Nurse

Float Pool Nurse – Telemetry/Med-Surg | Night Shift | Brighton, MA

This is a float position requiring the ability to move across multiple unit types, including medical-surgical (ortho, urology, neurology, GYN), cardiology/telemetry, surgical, and cardiothoracic units. Candidates must be comfortable adapting quickly to varying patient populations and acuity levels.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours/week guaranteed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Most Fridays will be required; no specific schedule requests accommodated
• Maximum 5 days RTO for the contract; no extended RTO

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: October 5, 2026

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of recent acute care experience; stepdown experience required for nights
• Must independently read telemetry strips and pass an on-site competency exam on Day 1 (minimum 84%, two attempts allowed)
• Psych experience highly preferred
• Minimum 1 completed travel contract required
• 5+ years of float experience preferred

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Additional Clinical Skills

• IV therapy proficiency
• Telemetry monitoring
• Ability to function independently across diverse unit types
