Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit. You will deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in a collaborative nursing environment while working with a diverse patient population across critical care specialties.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, PM schedule (nights)
- Every-other weekend
- Every-other holiday
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- May float to Medical/Surgical units as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill patients
- Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Communicate with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
- Coordinate and delegate patient care activities
- Maintain accurate patient records and enter computerized clinical data
- Support quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in multi-specialty ICU (CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro, CT)
- Current Massachusetts RN License
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Telemetry experience with demonstrated ability to interpret rhythm strips independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to meet job demands
- Basic computer proficiency
- Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
Telehealth test required on day one.
