Certified Surgical Technologist — Operating Room
Position Overview
The facility's surgical services department seeks an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract. You'll work in a high-volume OR setting providing surgical support across a broad range of specialties in a 24/7 operation.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour shifts; shift start times include 7 AM, 7 PM, and 11 PM
- Flexible shift lengths (8, 10, or 12 hours available)
- Every 3rd weekend as needed
- Every other holiday off
- One call shift per rotation period
- Possible float to other OR campuses
Clinical Scope
You'll support surgeries across general, GYN, GU, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedic, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatric, trauma, and spine specialties. Competency in at least five of these services is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years inpatient surgery experience
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- NBSTSA certification (no substitutes)
- Current BLS certification
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and strong communication skills
