Cardiac Cath Lab RN — Bryan, TX | 13-Week Contract

This opportunity is based in Bryan, TX, with float coverage to a second campus in College Station. The cath lab team runs three active rooms, performing 5–15 cases per day across cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization procedures.

Clinical Scope

• Cardiac cases including ICDs, pacemakers, and ablations (A-flutter, SVT, A-fib)
• Peripheral and neuro interventional cases
• Traumatic embolization patient care
• No IR/specials — handled by a separate department
• Three staff per case: circulating RN, scrub tech, and monitor
• All RNs are expected to circulate cases and cross-train to monitor

Shift Details

• 8-hour days, Monday–Friday, 0630–1500
• Call required: approximately 10–11 days per month, including one weekend per month
• 40 guaranteed hours per week

Onboarding

• Three days of unit orientation; independent case management expected by the end of the first week
• Call responsibilities introduced gradually, with experienced support during initial shifts

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Additional Notes

• BSN not required
• Active RN license required at time of submission
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility in the CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity network within the past year (agency PRN candidates may be considered)
