Medical-Surgical Travel Nurse | Sioux City, IA | Night Shift

This 13-week contract places you on a busy Med-Surg unit providing direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team. The role involves managing a general medical-surgical patient population with varying acuity levels, including patients on heparin drips.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (1900 start)
• 3x12 or 4x12 shifts accepted
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• 36-hour weekly guarantee

Floats

Candidates may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

Holiday Coverage

Travelers are required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day). Limited time-off requests are permitted during the holiday window.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience (required)
• Electronic health record experience (required)
• Heparin drip experience (preferred)
• Active BLS certification — AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military certificates accepted (required)
• Valid Driver's License (required)
• Med-Surg–specific skills checklist (required)
• One supervisory reference completed within the last two years (required)
• First-time travelers welcome

Eligibility

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on their driver's license address.
