ICU / CT Surgery RN — Night Shift | Cambridge, MA
13-Week Contract | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
This ICU position supports a high-acuity unit specializing in cardiothoracic surgical patients. Nurses will manage complex post-operative CT surgery cases and are expected to be proficient with mechanical circulatory support devices, including intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Impella devices. The role also requires the ability to float between the ICU and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) as census demands.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every-other-weekend rotation required
- Two holidays required if working through the winter holiday season
- Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar ICU or CT surgery setting
- CT surgery nursing experience required
- Demonstrated experience with IABP and Impella
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required
- Proficiency with electronic health record charting required
