Cardiac ICU/IMCU Nurse – 12-Hour Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac ICU/IMCU nurse for a 13-week contract. You will provide direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiac setting, managing post-operative cardiac surgery patients and those requiring advanced hemodynamic support.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every-other-weekend rotation (including holiday weekends)
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly
• Weekly orientation available

Clinical Scope

You'll work with patients requiring specialized cardiac devices (IABP, IMPELLA) and manage complex post-CT surgery recovery. You will float between the ICU and IMCU as needed. This role demands strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to manage rapid changes in patient acuity.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of ICU or similar critical care experience
• CT surgery experience required
• Proficiency with IABP and IMPELLA devices
• BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications
• Must have been separated from your previous employer for 6+ months
