Cardiac Surgery ICU – Night Shift RN
Position Details
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Schedule: Every other weekend; if working through winter holidays, 2 holidays are required
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly
- Orientation: Weekly
About the Role
The facility's cardiac surgery ICU cares for post-operative cardiac surgery patients and high-acuity cardiothoracic cases. You'll provide direct patient care, monitor hemodynamics, and manage advanced devices including IABP and IMPELLA. While float between ICU and IMCU may occur, this is not a dedicated float position.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in cardiac surgery nursing or similar critical care setting
- Demonstrated experience with IABP and IMPELLA devices
- BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certification (current)
- Must have been separated from current employer for 6+ months

- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced cardiac ICU environment
- Ability to work independently on the night shift while collaborating with the team
- Any color scrubs acceptable
