Day Shift | 5x8 Hours (08:00–16:30) | 14-Week Contract

This Registered Dietitian position is embedded within an inpatient Dietary Services department in Baltimore, Maryland, serving adult and geriatric patients. The daily census averages 10–12 patients, with a clinical scope that spans a broad range of complex conditions.

Clinical Scope

You'll conduct nutrition assessments and reassessments, develop and manage plans of treatment, and address conditions including diabetes, heart failure, kidney disease (acute and chronic), cirrhosis, cancer, dysphagia, malnutrition, refeeding syndrome, and short bowel syndrome. Experience with enteral nutrition (tube feedings) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) is expected, along with competency in fluid/electrolyte management, calorie counts, and nutrition-focused physical exams (NFPE).

Schedule & Coverage

• Day shift, 8-hour shifts; no float requirement
• Weekend coverage is negotiable
• Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests per contract; no RTO on designated hard-to-fill days or certain holidays

Requirements

• RD or RDN credential required
• Minimum 2 years of dietitian experience
• Valid Maryland or compact state licensure required at time of submission
• Acute care experience required; community hospital, LTAC, or trauma experience preferred
• Scrub color: Purple
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
