Vascular Surgery RN – CVOR

Position Overview

The facility's vascular surgery service line seeks an experienced RN for the operating room, specializing in endovascular and open vascular procedures. You'll provide direct perioperative nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing complex vascular interventions in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Shift & Schedule

  • Day shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
  • Every other weekend on-call rotation
  • Overnight call approximately 2x/week; day call ~1x/month
  • Approximately 2 weekend call shifts per contract period
  • Maximum 7 days time off per assignment
  • Contract duration: 16 weeks

Clinical Scope

You'll assist with endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR), carotid interventions, arteriovenous fistula repair, and other complex vascular procedures. Experience with endovascular techniques, EVAR, and familiarity with CSI or Penumbra equipment preferred. Patient ratio: 1:1.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN license (Georgia or Compact state)
  • Minimum 2 years perioperative nursing experience (first-time travelers considered)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Endovascular surgery experience
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Additional Information

  • OR scrubs provided
  • Facility orientation: 40 hours
  • In rare instances, may float to main OR
  • All time-off requests must be finalized at contract submission; no requests permitted post-offer or during orientation week
