Labor & Delivery RN — Travel Contract

Augusta, GA | Nights | 16-Week Assignment

This active Labor & Delivery unit is seeking an experienced travel RN who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment. With a consistently high daily census, this unit manages the full spectrum of obstetric care and requires a clinician who can hit the ground running.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3×12-hour shifts
• Start Date: September 28, 2026
• Self-scheduling; 3 weekend shifts per contract
• 2 on-call shifts required per 6 weeks (AM/PM shifts)
• Max 7 days RTO per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• RTO Blackout: Spring Break (April 4–12)
• Holiday coverage expected per standard holiday rotation

Clinical Scope

• Vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, multiple births
• Postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, D&C
• High-risk antepartum, fetal monitoring (external and internal), IUPC placement
• of obstetric patients, magnesium sulfate therapy, oxytocin management
• Newborn care: APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, NRP response
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years L&D experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• Prior travel experience required
• Georgia RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (required); AWHONN Intermediate (preferred)
• Charge experience preferred
• Electronic health record proficiency required

Additional Details

• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Full compliance documents due the Tuesday prior to start date
