Nuclear Medicine Technologist — Travel Contract

Location: Easley, SC | Shift: Days, 5×8 hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) | Duration: 13 weeks

This travel opportunity is based in a nuclear medicine department serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. The department supports a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies in a fast-paced outpatient and inpatient environment.

Clinical Scope & Procedures:

  • Cardiac nuclear studies including pharmacological and exercise stress testing (single and multiple day protocols), perfusion imaging
  • HIDA scans, gastric emptying studies, liver imaging, renal/perfusion studies
  • Ventilation/perfusion (V/Q) studies, whole body imaging, I-123 uptake scans, DTPA aerosol
  • Starting and maintaining IVs, drawing venous blood
  • Proper storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
  • Isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
  • Active ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification; CNMT preferred
  • BLS required
  • Minimum 1 year of electronic health record experience required
  • Community hospital experience preferred

Float Policy:

Float to other qualified units or campuses within the health system may be required based on census needs. Staff will only float to areas matching their demonstrated competencies.

  • Scrub color: Hunter Green
  • Flu vaccine required; no exemptions
  • COVID-19 vaccine not required
  • 40-hour orientation (begins Mondays); pre-assignment modules required within 48 hours of system access
  • Travelers must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible at full rate
