Labor & Delivery RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for a 10-week night shift assignment. You'll join a busy obstetric unit managing a high volume of deliveries and providing comprehensive perinatal care across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum settings.

Schedule & Contract Details

  • Shift: Night, 3x12-hour (18:45–07:15)
  • Contract Duration: 10 weeks
  • Start Date: September 28, 2026
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Float Requirement: Possible float within Women's Services (L&D, Mother Baby, postpartum unit)
  • Maximum Time Off: 7 days per contract (must be finalized at submission)
  • Holiday Expectations: Work requirement varies based on number of major holidays falling within your assignment period

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years L&D experience (first-time travelers considered)
  • Current RN license: Georgia or compact state
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
  • Experience with couplet care, cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and LDRP
  • Proficiency with external fetal monitoring, pitocin administration, and newborn assessment
  • Ability to perform , sterile vaginal exams, and provide breastfeeding/discharge support

Unit Snapshot

The unit operates 13 L&D rooms and 2 operating rooms, managing approximately 200 deliveries monthly. Patient ratios are 1–2 per nurse on all shifts. You'll collaborate closely with respiratory services, pharmacy, social work, and rapid response teams to deliver coordinated, family-centered care.
